Three fixed blades (top to bottom in first two photos) : ZT 0121, Survive 4.7 CruForge V, ZT 0170. Prices listed below. Not looking for trades. First unconditional “I’ll take it” in this thread gets it, if followed by a prompt PayPal. Off-thread sales OK, if they come before a claim in this thread. Below is some detailed information about these three discontinued knives.
The ZT 0121 is like new, but without box. It has light wear on the high parts of the knife from the Kydex sheath. You can see this from the photo. This is a discontinued model that had an original street price of $228.
My price is $149, which includes shipping and PayPal fees for domestic mail.
The Survive 4.7 CruForge V is LNIB. CruForge V is a carbon steel much like 52100, but with better wear resistance. I don’t know the original street price. (Just told it was $180.)
My price is $180 (SOLD), which includes shipping and PayPal fees for domestic mail.
The ZT 0170 is lightly used, with wear marks on the coating from the Kydex sheath. This is a discontinued model. The original street price was $156.
My price is $99, which includes shipping and PayPal fees for domestic mail.

Cru-Forge is basically 52100 with vanadium added and that vanadium gives the steel large and hard carbides that promote wear resistance. For knife makers it forges well and uses protocols similar to that of other high carbon steels. But for users these two points don't matter so much. What does matter is performance. And perform Cru-Forge V does. I beat this edge to smithereens. I was just merciless. And yet after 16 hours or so of chopping, cutting, slicing and (shhh!) prying, I was able to restore the edge to 100% chip free, hair-popping sharp. All I used was a strop. I can't think of any steel I have used that has performed better in hard use tasks than Cru-Forge, and that includes 3V (heresy alert!). That said there is some sample size issues--I have had lots of 3V fixed blades and only one Cru-Forge. Maybe this was an insanely perfect gem because of a fluke in heat treating or something else. Whatever the issue--the performance leaves me wanting more Cru-Forge V, especially for my fixed blades. It has also piqued my curiosity about 52100, a favorite steel of the bowie making Butterscotch Club.
From Alpha Knife Supply’s website:
https://www.alphaknifesupply.com/zdata-bladesteelC-CruForgeV.htm
CruForge V was developed specifically for forging into knives.
Scott Devanna coordinated with knifemakers when developing the steel. The result is an excellent steel that forges and performs very well.
CruForge V is easy to forge but tougher to finish than any of the 10XX steels or 52100. The tradeoff is edgeholding. The vanadium in CruForge makes it hold an edge longer than the 10XX steels and 52100.
