ZT 0300 handle size

9bladesThe reason I am thinking the 300 over 200 is because the higher grind would slice better (well at least I think)

Admittedly I've never used an 0300, but I've compared the grinds, and I highly doubt you would notice any difference in cutting performance. :)

When I bought my bk-4 I knew I had to be 18 to buy so my dad came along but the dude wouldn't even let me touch it while in the seath

It makes sense. My local store has a rule where you must be 16 to handle the knives. I think they require you to be 18 to buy. They probably put that rule in place so no little 11 year old could come and wave their expensive knives around.

Also, to your comment about the 300 slicing better than the 0200, I have an 0200 and have had an 0350, and the cutting performance is really the same if your not talking about retention. :) (Different steels in the two)

I like the ease of closing on the adamas with the axis but love the flipper of the zt. Which do you think has more room for wear over time? And unfortunately I can't afford both as it is I'll have to wait till summer to get a job to get the money lol

Honestly, they're both bomb proof, but the Admas's D2 will probably come out on top when it comes to performance against the 0200's 154CM.

i think ill go for the adamas unless the dude at the store lets me handle them and any of the zt's mentioned in this thread really speak to me in hand. at the end of the day i still think the best knife is the one that is the most comfortable in hand.
thanks for all the help guys, good first impression for me on this forum

If you're going for ergonomics, 0200 wins for me. It's curved for the hand unlike the Adamas. (Adamas is actually surprisingly ergonomic, but doesn't stack up against the 0200 in that category.)

Try both and see what you like better.... Or you could save your pennies and get both! They've made a solid EDC rotation for me along with my S35VN PM2 and BM 760LFTi.

If it all possible try to handle all 3. The adamas is great but nowhere near as ergonomic and I find flippers easier than thumb studs.

actually i just thought of something i live in vancouver AKA rain central it seems so over time when the coating wears off the adamas will rust be a big issue or is it fairly resistant to rust?

I don't have an Adamas but I have a 300, 350, 550 and 560 and I had a 200...
when new...

these days..

I have pretty large hands and I find the 300 very comfortable indeed, although the 550 is my EDC as it carries more comfortably with the deep carry clip. The S30V blade sharpens easily and holds it's edge nicely
Honestly, you need to try them out, I would scour the forums for a good price on some used samples, keep what you like and sell the others. Or if you don't like buying used, and you want a user, get a blem from kershawguy.

You'll be fine

Asiparks how far over has the lock bar moved? Most 300 reviews I see the blades are brand new but everyone always says there so tough based by the looks and feel. Yours looks well used has the bar moved at all?

it's my "go to" outdoors, camping and gardening knife. It's well used, but I've not used it for battening through firewood or anything like that. The lock bar has not moved as far as I can tell, it was about 35%, looks to be the same now....I wouldn't worry about it too much either, the stop pins and pivot are bearing most if the brunt and they're substantial
