ZT 0302 really worth the money?

A one model number difference. The knives are pretty much the same, except for that last digit in the laser engraved model number and the color of the scale.

If the latter is what someone is gunning for, a coyote tan scale, then get a 0301 and have it duracoated/cerakoted.

Entire companies thrive off of this model. Look at Triple Aught Design. Every Friday a number of people jockey to buy a handful of customs that only differ from the original maker by having a logo on them. Some fo for 3 times what you could buy it direct from the original maker. they also produce botique grade clothes. I love the hoodies they produce. Usually made in USA and very unique. But if you do not buy one in the first 20 minutes you wil pay 50% more on eBay and usually not get the color you want.
The 302 is the same animal. If they make anoteher 500 it will change the market. look at 560. A few months ago some were paying 350+ for them. Now you are lucky to get 210 for one.
Rarity drives the market!

Indeed. I waited a few months and snagged a relatively low serial one in excellent condition for $198 shipped/paypaled. Folks were selling them for $400 the first week they were released.

There hasen't been a comment on a new run of 0302's in awhile, anyone have any updated info?

i have a 0302. got it a few yrs ago. still carry EDC. GOT A GREAT DEAL ON IT FROM KERSHAWGUY

I find it hard to believe that it commands a much different price. I chuckle because in a different thread I mentioned what ZT's I had and the next thing I knew I had an offer to buy. Unfortunately for him I tend to buy and keep and not get rid of anything. I figure maybe my kids will be the ones to sell my cool knives in a garage sale for like ten bucks apiece and in 40 years there will be a thread titled "garage sale amazing finds!". Anyway, I wouldn't pay much of a premium if at all for a 302.

I lucked out and found two ZT302's at my local gun store at MSRP. They just sat in their box for a year or so because I was too afraid to use them due to their rarity. I ended up selling both. Sell to someone who is going to use them. I promised myself no more safe queens after that...

My problem is that I tend to buy two of any knife that I think I will like a lot. So I bought the 301/2, liked the looks of the 302 better so I turned the 301 into my user. Same thing with the 0560/1. I like the 0561 better so I am using the 0560 as my user. I am sure that is backwards to some but that is just how I have always done it. It makes it easier on me when I get the first scratch or ding.
