Hello,
I'm now to this forum system so I'll introduce myself:
My name is Omer and I live in Israel (the knife laws here are awful to carry, but you can own anything)...
So my question is:
I found a s30v zt0350swcf for 500nis meanwhile they cost 750nis on EBay. (NIB).
Should I take it? It will be my first ZT.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Omer!!
Are you sure it's genuine?? Can you post a couple pics here??
There has to be a reason it's cheaper.....
Oh....and welcome!
Joe

Manishma Omer. I just got my first ZT and it's the 0350 m390. I wasn't sure if I would like it because it's so thick and heavy, but when it arrived, it became one of my favorite knives. It feels so sturdy and solid. You will love It. Laila tov

Here it is.
I'm sure that they sell the original product from past knowledge with them.

Everything is great, how are you?
Thanks for recommendation about the ergonomics, but someone I know said that the s30v version will chip quickly in use.

It depends how you use it, but it is a tough steel. I have never had a problem with a quality s30v from zt or spyderco under normal use. If you abuse it, any steel will chip.

Can you describe the difference between normal use and abuse?

Abuse- heavy prying, battoning. It's still a folding knife, not fixed blade. Search YouTube for zero tolerance durability or s30v durability tests

I ve also heard people talk about s30v chipping, but in my experience it has been a good working steel. I like my 0350 as an all purpose knife. I deassisted mine and like it much better that way. It opens well with the flipper or thumb stud, which is what I require of all my flippers. If you found the 0350 at a bargain price, get it. I bet you like it.
Welcome.
