ZT 0454 just showed up!

I'm also one of those who won't get theirs until Friday, so please keep the pictures coming.

Nice pair!

First time I've said that to someone who wasn't a female.

Was it also the first time you've said it without getting slapped?

It's a bit different for me as the blade is pretty heavy compared to the carbon fiber only handle. The flipping action is amazing though as that big blade flies out of the handle. Definitely can't see any issues with the fit & finish of this knife. I really like the light weight of this knife overall for it being larger. The only thing I have an issue with is something I have issues with on nearly every frame lock. I'm left handed! There I've said it. There is no way that blade is going anywhere with my thumb resting on the lock bar. Yes, I can change my grip to something different but with my big mitts it doesn't come natural. I love the knife but it doesn't love me. I'm sure most other lefties have no problem but for me it's a bit frustrating.

One of these is selling for almost $1000 on the exchange! I wonder if it will sell.

I hope people have more sense than that

I don't understand comments like this. I get it you're not willing to pay secondary market prices but to judge others for spending their money on something they want? Come on....

One sold on ebay for north of what is being asked in the Exchange right now.

I agree, I'd pay $750 for it gladly.

I guess I would understand it if it was a collab by a more well known maker or if it was a custom. But it's a factory knife. The buyer is more likely to be a KAI nut that needs this for a collection and not somebody chasing their grail. But you're right Morrow it's not my place to judge. Just seems a tad lofty and I can't imagine the knife would ever command that after the hoopla calms down.

May seem lofty to you, but to others it may seem like a steal. Did you happen to see the ZT0777 that sold on eBay about a month ago for around $2250.00 for a knife that originally sold for less than the ZT0454.

And if you think about it...if this the only version of the 0454... It will be the rarest of the Blade KOTY winners. When it was all said and done over 1000 0777s in 4 variations were produced. And around 500 0888s in three different versions were made.

I think a lot of secondary market prices are lofty....no arguments there at all but we need to ask why. There are only so many of these and people want them and are willing to pay heavily inflated market prices. We see plenty of mid-tech companies with inflated secondary market prices due to demand created for one reason or the other. People will pay to get what they want....when the stop paying prices will fall.

Congratulations! I want to see pics with other ZTs!

1000 0777s & 500 0888s? It's wayyyyyyy less than that. The market would be flooded with 0777s and 0888s in that case.

Had to photograph it with another duo-tone.

Sick blade, and great little pistol. I had a similar Bersa with rosewood grips years ago, and I should have kept it - it's a very accurate gun.
