After chopping down a single 3 inch diameter tree, my Cold Steel Extra Large G-10 Espada needed to have the pivot and all body screws tightened.
I just had to tighten all the body screws on my Cold Steel Rajah 2 a couple of days ago, and it hasn't been used that much (I was tightening the pivot, so I decided to check the body screws...pretty damn loose).
I had to tighten the body screws on my Benchmade Skirmish once...but replacing the screws with new ones made it so I haven't had to since.
My Spyderco Endura's pivot needs tightening rather often, and so do about a third of my other folders.
And if you're tightening the pivot anyway, why not check the body screws at the same time, right?
I can understand the annoyance, but for people who don't want to tighten screws every so often, Loctite is a Godsend.
