ZT 0550 or Emerson Horseman?

You want an actual knife right? not a folding prybar that carries like a brick.... Get the Horseman and don't look back.

I do like the Commanders design and it looks comfy as hell, but that recurve looks like a pain to sharpen. The Horsemans blade shape is what I like most about it. One day I'll snatch one up but as of now, I'm gonna go with the general consensus and get the 0550. Thanks for all the help guys!

I have both and would suggest that you can't make a mistake here: both great knives.

The Emerson F&F has been covered extensively but if you are using them in the spirit in which they are intended it is not an issue, at least to me. 100% functional, great ergonomics, fantastic warranty support and very pro-active customer service. Wave-shaped feature and disk-shaped thumb opener are my two favorite opening methods and Emersons have both.

ZTs are great. I think they are the best bang-for-the-buck around. Great features, pretty good ergos and I really like the 0550 in particular. Can't comment on their customer service as I only have 3 ZTs and I haven't used them nearly as long/hard as my dozen or so Emersons. Frame locks on ZTs have been great.

You can't go wrong. Pick them up and heft them...they are pretty different knives but you won't be disappointed either way.

0550. Great blade steel, great blade stock, titanium slab, deep carry clip, customizable, jimping, SMOOTH opener. It really is an absolute great knife and can be had for a great price if you look around...but then again the blackwash version is gorgeous ($$$). You will not be disappointed.
