ZT 0550 vs 0560

Lol well, I don't know which he will choose to go with first. If he does go for an 055X, I think the 0551 is the best one. =]

I love my 551 but my 561 has kinda hogged up the pocket time since I got it. the deep clip and the bearings are nice. I say get the 560 then a little later the 551. Both are great.

I have both the 550 and 551 but none of the 560s/561s. I have larger hands but find the 55x series to fit me perfectly and I like the full-hand feel you get with it. Also, I'm not a flipper kind of guy so that automatically rules out the 56x series. The 56x series reminds of the scales on a Strider CC and those have never worked for me.....I prefer the traditional Strider SMF with regular lego grips. Best of luck in your choice.....I agree with many who have said that while it is definitely personal preference they are both built like tanks and neither will ever let you down in a pinch......or a punch!!

I was looking at the contego and adamas when I discovered the ZT 550 and 560. I was worried the contego would be too rough textured and that the adamas would be too big. It's a bit more money but the 560 picture/descrption really changed my mind. (Especially since my ZT 0350TS is so well made.) It's coming this week. Looking at the two, the 560 looked more expensive and tactical (to me, anyway). The Elmax steel has me a bit concerned since it's in so few blades in the U.S. I believe Kai does the heat treatment but could be wrong. I wanted an unassisted flipper and this is certainly one of the nicest. 3.75" sounds good.

The rep at ZT really raved about the 560. I find it interesting that the ZT300 might actually cost a bit more.

Even if i really like it I still want a contego, adamas or bedlam (the bedlam would probably be for show).
