I like both of these blades a lot, though I love the look of the 0560bw more than the 0630. I also like the flipper but the wave opener also appeals to me. However, from what I've seen S35VN is a superior steel to Elmax in edge holding. I do not know which is the better choice. I will also add that price is not a factor. Any help is appreciated.

Depends on what you want high tech or old school, both knives are considered hard use folders, bulky and heavy IMO. The 0560 rides on KVT (ball bearings) so the deployment will be very smooth and the back side has the 3d machining. S35vn vs ELMax not much difference, ELMax is supposed to be better IF the heat treatment is done correctly. Earlier ZT models that came with ELMax blades were soft and that is why there is numerous complaints online since ZT goofed the heat treatment. As of now it looks like ZT has solved their issues and their ELMax seems to be holding pretty well. The only other thing would be the 0630 has the steel insert in the lock-bar,either or will be fine, I say find a shop that has both, handle both see which feels better in hand and in pocket then make a final decision. If not, order both and return the one you like the least.

My choice would be the ZT 0562CF in CTS-204p for the same price as the 0560BW, you get the same features, minus the 3d machined lock-back, add in a steel insert, a lighter and slimmer carry and better blade steel.

I wish ZT was retrofitting the 0560BW with steel lockbar inserts.... I'd gladly send it in and pay a fee to have that done.

I love mine, but I carry my 0630 more just because I don't fear lock rock as much.
My 0560BW already locks up at about 50% or more :(

Just bought a factory-fresh 0560BW last week. It came with the steel insert in the lockbar, which Rasco was lamenting was absent on earlier models. (also have the 0566 and the 0770 -- all 3 are Elmax) I know the online reviews of the 0560 have been a mix of love it / hate it, but I'm in the love it camp. I think it is a mechanical marvel and has the best tactile feel of any folder I have (partially because big hands + arthritis make small knives uncomfortable - and the 0560 is a big handled knife). One life lesson I have learned is that exuberant goofballs, such as myself, should not carry knives that frequently self-deploy when you take them out of your pocket: think grocery store line and your cell phone rings and you need to move your knife out of the way to dig your cell phone out ... so, I would steer clear of the wave unless there is some reason that you need faster deployment than the <1 sec you can get from the flipper! Finally, you touched on this: the 0560 is a visual work of art
My own next move may be the 0562CF in CTS-204p that the other gentleman suggested.

Even with big hands, you'll still really dig the 0562CF BigQuackHuna.
I'm jealous, I've been looking for a Blackwashed 0560 with the lock bar insert... no luck
