Hello BF!

I have a 0560 bw on order and have a quick question.
Outside of the aesthetic differences, are there any changes to the manufacturing and/or features of the bw version vs the original 0560/0561.

Thanks in advance!

Drew

As best as I can tell, the only difference is the finish. Based on some other threads (mostly about the 0300 series), some of the newer ones may also include the steel insert on the lock bar. The pics I've seen of the 0560BW do not have that though.

What he said ^

I did see a picture of one with the steel insert. Let me fined it

EDIT: Here is a link to the thread it was in. Its about mid way down http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1180530-Let-s-talk-Zero-Tolerance/page4

The only difference is the finish. Same great knife, only better eye candy. The scale on mine is a custom :)

Thanks guys! I have an email into kershaw guy to see if his are with the insert. I hope they are!

It does appear on mine that the lockbar cut out has been raised a bit, almost like 1/4", compared to the 1st Gen 0560. I would imagine this creates a slightly stiffer detent as well.

One thing I would note, the ZT 0560/0561 both have the titanium frame lock side milled out slightly in certain areas to remove weight. The ZT 0560BW does not have any milling on the titanium frame lock side. Both the 560/561 and 560BW have the g10 side liner milled out however. I am not sure how much the weight difference is. Other than the new vs old models with the steel frame lock insert, those are the only differences between the 560/561 and 560BW. Hope this helped.
