ZT 0560 Gens question

There haven't been what I would call "generations" on the 0560/0561. but there have been a few adjustments that we have made along the way. This is pretty typical for a new product - we sometimes find little things taht we can improve as we get going with production. Below are the changes that we have made to the 0560 - they're really more subtle adjustments than large generational changes:

Blade - We made some changes to our stonewashing procedure somewhere along the line, so newer blades may be a little shinier and more silver colored (as opposed to gray) than the originals.

Front Handle - The machining on the first few front handles was done with a smaller ball end mill than the machining on the back handle - as you saw in the picture above, there was a subtle variation in the texture. We changed to using the bigger tool on the front handle so that the textures matched perfectly (it also helps with tool wear).

Back Handle - We have changed the finish a little bit, but these are pretty consistent. Some of the early ones looked darker. We also changed the lockbar cut several times. The first few were machined and you can see that the slot is wider - more like 0.060" wide. Then we started laser cutting the slot, which narrowed it down to a slim 0.012". Finally, we changed the shape of the lockbar cut itself so that the lockbar was wider toward the butt of the knife. This was done to stiffen the lockbar and combat vertical flex.

Thanks, Jimmer! Always cool to hear from the source. I was just making some observations I noticed.
