I waited nearly a year for my 0560 to come in
and it exceeded my expectations, any bit of roughness on the corners or deployment problems I had
at first I simply chalked up to being a new user of that knife. In no time at all I was opening the knife with the thumbstuds or flipper as easy as can be and
the more I actually used the knife the more impressed I became. My 0560 and now 0561 both have very good blade retention (very important) yet open as smoothly (or smoother) and as quickly as ANY folder I've ever owned. The 0560/61 is now my favorite and best (for me) production folder that I've
ever purchased. If this is your preferred price range I cannot recommend the 0560/61 highly enough.
I also have a new (Gen 7 w/new linear tang/lockup) Strider SMF with CPM-154 and that blade holds its edge as well or better than any knife I've ever used (including my ZDP-189 blades) and I simply LOVE this knife. There really is "something" about a Strider...its hard to explain. Then SMF feels more stout in the hand than the ZT...I'm not sure that in real world use that this would ever truly matter as both are strong knives but the Strider does "feel" stronger in hand. With regards to ergonomics, the ZT and SMF feel very different in the hand, the SMF gives you a couple different ways to hold the knife for normal cutting tasks and allows you to choke for more precise cutting. The ZT is very comfortable in hand and has more cutting edge to its blade...this really comes down to user preference.
Were I you I'd buy whichever one speaks to me the most...if you're like many of us you'll most likely own both in time anyway.
I don't think that you can go wrong with either knife.
Best of luck and be careful out there!
