I thought these things would have flown off the shelves but I see a number of online shops that still have them? Whats the deal?

All I know is that I love mine. I actually just got it back out of the box again to fondle right before I saw this tread pop up. I don't think I ever want to get rid of mine. Unless there's a family emergency or something, this puppy's all mine.

More to go around for all who need/want one! I commend ZT for the extras. Those who paid $500+ on the secondary market have regrets now!

IMO, I think a reason a lot of the Kershaw/ZT guys here on the forum haven't grabbed all the ones available in the exchange is because most of them have one! That serial number list thread is incredible, and most of the guys are "regulars" around here. Just my 2 cents...

There is no deal, the mad dash is over and the scalpers got burnt. Still some out there for those who didn't have the means when they first came out. Its a win, win in my book.

Pick one up while the getting is good. It hasn't been all that long since they came out and by this time next year, I'm sure there won't be nearly as many to be had if any.

This is a good thing, no instant secondary market. Costs stays down for those who still havent got one yet. Like JuJu said, next year when they are all gone the "Want to buy" threads will start showing up.

I remember when TiLTs were selling slow on here for $250-ish

This is how it should be if you ask me. And maybe KAI did this on purpose to stop the nice guys from getting it from the guys who want to buy 5 each to resale.

If I could have bought 5, I would have put 3 away, 1 as a user, and the other to the faja.

The deal is there was an initial buying panic. That caused the dealers to start charging full MSRP for the knife. Then news came out that they went a little over the planned 1000. The market dried up because most everyone who was dying to get one got one and the dealers are still trying to get full MSRP for them.

I haven't seen one listed for under $385 yet and most are still listing it at $425.

Once they decide to go back to MAP of $340, I'm betting the rest will get snapped up quickly.

I hope so plus I hope KAI is able to finish out the 0777 run the same way so that all who want one for personal keeps can get one priced between MAP & MSRP not ridiculous 4-figure sums!

Pretty much the ONLY hope I have of ever getting a 777 at this point...sadly still feel like the knockoff I found at a pawn shop will be the closest I get.

The ZT0560 CBCF was on my short list of knives to buy, but it was really my backup in case I wasn't able to get the ZT0777. Now that the final production specs steel of the remaining ZT0777 hasn't been made official, that also may effect the list of people who are still looking for one.

A men brother

I remember people going crazy for Damascus Kershaws a few years back. Now they made another run and Everyone them in stock. (minus the skyline)

When runs get staggered when shipped from the factory (like the 0560CBCF's), dealers will have stock off an on till the run is through. We're finished shipping the 0560CBCF's now, so what you see from dealers today will be the last of them.

I'm actually thinking of picking up a second one, but I feel slightly cheated since I payed $385 for mine although I pre-ordered just when pre-orders opened. I payed the amount without asking, and then I find I can buy it for much less and without having to pre-ordered it.

Still a great knife, although i still cant bring myself to EDC it over my 0561.Dont want to scuff it just yet, or at least not until I get a backup.

I have a 560 and 561...I've been thinking of getting a 560cbcf now that 777 is not likely and since the 454 is probably still far from mass production. I'm worried I will never carry it over the other two though.
