The Ripple is a blue titanium nitride coated framelock with a 3.125" satin finished blade weighing in at a mere 3.0oz with a combination cutting edge while the Ripple2 sports a 2.625" blade and weighs in at a light 2.7oz. Note, the titanium nitride coating will not dull or wear like an anodized finish will.
CRKT and knife designer Ken Onion's first collaboration is the Ripple K405 series. This knife is noteworthy for its exceptional manufacturing quality, premium stainless steel build, plus an almost unbelievable silky smooth and fast opening action thanks the IKBS ball-bearing system.

The modified drop point blade has a high hollow grind, swedged top edge, crowned spine (like a Sebenza) and a high satin finish. Steel is premium Acuto, stainless, noteable for high chromium and molybdenum content and hardness of 59-60 HRC.
It is compact and adjustable at the blade pivot screw if ever needed. Not only is opening and closing exceptionally smooth, the IKBS system is durable and requires little maintenance, and yields a folder with great rigidity and no blade play.
The Ripple model is an open build stainless steel frame lock. The Ripple receives a blue titanium nitride coating, which is then hand buffed to give a pocket worn look, that lightly reveals the stainless steel on the high points. Features a removable stainless steel mirror-polished pocket clip (tip-down), high-mounted, and also with small CNC-drilled holes.
