Not a big fan of the decorative pivot, I'm going to replace with the Hinderer esque flat head pivot.

Can I replace the pivot assembly without fully disassembling the knife? If I remove the pivot, will the blade stay in position due to stop pin, and pressure of the scales?

Its easiest if you remove the show side scale and liner....but yes, it can be done without full disassembly, I have done it before. If you are very careful you can push the pivot out, and the blade will stay relatively stable. I used a very thin wooden dowel to push out the pivot...have used this trick on several knives including the 0562.

You can but chances are you will have to also loosen the scale screws to adjust things like centering. So why not take the opportunity to take apart the knife, give it a good cleaning and lubing, and then assemble it to your liking with the new pivot screw installed?
