Not thread related but what's the draw with carbon fiber? I'm personally not a fan especial from a hard use perspective. "Why?" well i worked with archery equipment for a while on a previous job and after plenty of those blasted CF splinters and slivers its lost its appeal. I can see myself dropping my knife cracking the CF then using it and getting a nasty CF sliver. Gives me spinal shivers just thinking about it.

From a collecting stand point I can understand its niceties.

It's kinda like an "upgrade" package on a car or something.
You may not prefer leather seats on your vehicles, but it's commonly considered an "upgrade" Vs the fabric seats.
You could complain that leather seats are cold in the winter and sweaty & gross in the summer, but still, leather seats would be considered a "premium" upgrade kinda thing.

It's the same with CF.
This is an "upgraded" version of the 0562. If you're getting the upgraded version of, well, anything really, it's usually because you either a) have the money to spare or b) you're collecting and you don't really plan on dropping or damaging the thing. (just rub it with a diaper :p)

I hope i didn't cone across as criticizing it was more of an observation. And seems when im shopping there is a lot of CF out there That I'm coming across. I guess that's the trend or upgrade that is hot right now...or maybe it has always been...

I'm in with a cf#1111. Kind of a cool serial number I thought.

I wanted one of these since the beginning. I have been very happy with mine. I have had and sd about 6-7 Hinderer XM-18s, and 2-3 XM-24s. This ZT is the first collaboration where I think it might be BETTER than the original. Better steel, better flipper, CF scales for Hinderer's cost $100-$150. This knife is a fantastic production knife.

I saw that one and almost bought it for that Serial #. Nice snag!

0562CF: Ser. 0564

Surprised 0562CF has a higher serial number count than 0562 thus far but it's early and BF is just a sampling.
