I know the ZT 0562CF M390 is discontinued - but can anyone tell me when they were first released and what was the new price for one at that time?

I may be wrong but I don't think the retail price changed from the original steel to the current. ($240)
 
When they first came out, it was before ZT enforced MAP pricing, some were sold a 200.00 and even when MAP took effect, some retailers honored that price on back orders.
That was the whole issue with M390, the availability wasn't there, caused a delay for ZT, that's why they went to 204P
 
They came out last year (I think early 4th quarter?) and retailed for about $240. I am surprised that the M390 blades are prized now. It is a nice knife, but there is (to me) a direct equivalent for the EXACT same price that the M390 went for (again, $240.)
 
ZT 0562CF in M390 steel came out in August 2014 for a $240 street price. Stock was low due to availability of M390 steel and eventually around April 2015 the CTS-204P steel version came out for the same $240 street price.
 
Yeah I got mine from 1SKS Nov 15 2014 $240.

I paid 210 for mine, from a sporting goods store in Tulsa. I'm not sure how they even made a profit.
