Why is the zt 0562 cf with the m390 blade so much more expensive then the one with the new cts-204p when people are saying the steels are nearly the same?

Zt has switched from the m390 over to the cts 204p. As s result the m390 version is going to be more covated due to the fact its no longer available. Simple supply and demand i guess.

There were plenty of the M390 562's to go around. Blade steels almost identical. IMO there will be no appreciation of the M390 versions.

Sorry i didn't have time to fix it.My 1 year old just woke up puking in his crib. i assure you, good times here at my house. my "This" was in reference to the post above by bigmark.

I am agreeing with the post by big mark. He said people want what the can't have. Hence the higher secondary market prices for the 0562cf m390 versions vs the 204p ones

Ok, I understand now. I am currently bidding on a 0562 cf with m390 but now that I know what I do now, I will go for the cheap one with the cts-204p that cost 240 and the 390 is going for 400!!

I think probably because it became a kinda sorta limited edition since they switched to cts204 and the first run steel is no more. . How many were made in M390? Less than 2000? Now that there will never be anymore like it, the more it makes people want one

Based on the serial numbers of the newer 0562CF with CTS-204P that I've seen a good 2,000 of the M390 version were made. Not a fact but a projection. There will always be people/collectors who will consider the original M390 as somewhat limited. It's kind of subjective for now.

If you care only about using one then either and both are great.

Also, some 0562CF have Plain Weave CF and others 2x2 Twill Weave CF just to throw out another variable. :)
