I'm a huge fan of ZT, and own several. Every new ZT I acquire I'm blown away all over again by how freakin good they are. My latest ZT is the 0620cf, and for me it's ALMOST the perfect EDC. But the ALMOST in this case has been a bit of a deal breaker.

Yes, we are talking about the milled notch on the frame lock that catches on my pocket making even a basic safe draw almost non-existent. Heaven forbid I actually need to get this thing out of my pocket with anything resembling haste, lest I come out of the ordeal missing bits and pieces of myself.

I've seen a fill-in fix for the notch, and while I appreciate the ingenuity of this fix, for me it takes something away from the art of the knife. Does anyone know of any fixes, maybe somewhere I can get an aftermarket deep carry clip?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this has been beaten to death. I couldn't find much so far.

No idea what notch you are referring to. You mean the Ti lock bat cut out? or is there a wave on your blade?

I think you could find a nice after market clip. There are plenty of custom titanium ones on eBay. I should get one myself, it's true that it catched a lot, rendering the whole wave thing pretty useless as is lol

A picture would be helpful. Like Rev, I can't picture what part of the knife you are referring to

I know what you're talking about, the cutout. I've had the same issue before. You want to pull less in an outward motion and more straight back and up.

Not sure I posted the picture link right, sorry if it comes out screwed up. It's the Ti lock bar cutout just under the pocket clip. The pinch point between the clip and the lock bar is just at the edge of the cutout, so the potential for the edge of my jeans pocket to get caught up is high. It gets downright dangerous trying to free the hangup, most times the blade partially deploys.

I'm in the U.K., I think that's why I'm not finding the plethora of Ti clips on eBay.

Thanks again!

HI, I have the same issue with my ZT/Emerson colabs where it's difficult to draw the knife from pocket due to the lockbar's cutout. My only suggestion is to either bend the clip out to remove some of the tension on it or find a longer titanium clip. That "issue" is a deal breaker for me on any framelock as I reach for my knife all the time, it's one of my work tools.

I like forward waving better anyway, try this:

1.put pocket clip on the scale side, there is no cut out.

2. when waving pull up and forward and go straight into reverse, edge out grip.

beats rear waving hands down... Charlie mike has several videos showing this.

its nice being able to switch the pocket clip to either side, but I wish zt would put the cut out on the inside like my iron dragon.

And I wish my iron dragon was capable of forward waving.... sigh lol

I'm in canada, if you don't want to miss out on the US listings, search eBay from the US web site(.com) click on Watch then head back to your .uk one and you'll see the prices in pounds. Sadly, I think forums rules don't allow to name a vendor, bu you can always PM me if you can't find any.

I got two sweet Ti clips for a para2 and a delica4 and they even have a wicked spyder engraved on them. A little more like «the amazing spyder-man» one.
