Zt 0630 question.

Hey all . Just received a supposed NIB zt 0630. Been a few years since I bought a zt and I have a couple questions to whether this knife was NIB as the seller described (not a bladeforums deal so not in feedback).

First thing was every screw on this knife including pivot was loctited. When I took the knife out of the box the action was so stiff I literally couldn't open the knife with my thumb . I checked the pivot bolt for tool marks , saw none and backed the tension off . When I was backing the pivot off though I got this thick gummy grease about the color and feel of honey.

Again bought this as a NIB knife and I can't see any visible tool marks to show its been opened up . Same time I've owned quiet a few Zts and they have all been perfect out of box . Now I'm not splitting hairs here really just if it was represented as NIB I'd like to ask the person who sold it to me why he or she opened the knife up in the first place . More of a general curiosity than a complaint here .

Can't say much about the goo, but I have had two 630s that wouldn't budge using the thumb disk at first. They do break in amazingly though.
 
Either way it's a good knife and I got a good deal on it so not really any complaints . I was happy with it overall just because of the price . I went ahead and took it down myself and greased it and it's more up to par with the 620 I bought a few years back . It's a very smooth knife now. I don't want to just ask the seller outright if they did that or not since they are selling it as NIB like I said I'm happy with it just if I could prove they opened it I'd be curious as to why they felt the need to.
 
No it was torqued down . If zt loctites the hardware then it was NIB . Thanks guys last zt I bought was in 2013-2014 bought a 620 and an 801 the 801 didn't have loctite but I no longer have the 620 just remember how smooth the action was . All is good now on the 630 I broke the loctite ,tore the knife down and put the fluoro grease in it . It's like butter now . Pivot just came really really tight . Again not complaining
