ZT 0640 customisation

Bugout clip was a game changer for me. Monster thumb disk was too big for me, but I'd be interested in something in between if they exist. It's at the regrind doctor now...

I think I just saw it on Big Chris's ig and it was glorious

Yup, the other side is even better in that regard. I just told him to thin it out and make sure to get all the text. I don't have a proper tool to measure and I haven't reprofiled it yet, but it's "near zero" for sure.

Successful Sunday sanity project. I reground this Zero Tolerance 0640, the first folder I’ve attempted and only the third regrind I’ve done. I love this knife, but the grind was too thick and clunky. I gave it a nice deep hollow grind that is super slicey, and hollow ground the swedge to be deeper and longer as well. I need to measure the BTE thickness but it should be around .010”.

I feel the same but I think I will keep the 0640 has it is... but the 0470 may be regrind in the future

Wow, sweet looking 0640's! I put a MXG Ti deep carry clip on mine but after seeing all these customizations I'm feeling the need to do more! I really like the OD canvas scales.

Where is the best place to find all these aftermarket parts for 0640's? I saw someone post eBay. Any other good sites?

I really like mine from Sharp Dressed Knives. Seems like a really good guy too.

This is the only knife I ve ever modified.

I actually like the black green carbon fiber scales.. And I like the black hardware. I added a black Bugout clip which is deeper carry, easier to use, and looks better, matching the hardware.

Because my knife was very stiff to open, and didn't do better with loosening the pivot unless the lockup became wobbly, I put the large
Pete Gray thumb disc on the blade. That made the opening much better, and after opening it a hundred times or more and putting Break Free in the pivot, the action became much smoother and I could put the original thumb disc back on.. But I like the large disc and I m going leave to leave it .

I like the idea of a thinner blade grind, but I ve got the blade nicely sharpened now at 15 degrees per side, and I ll see how I like it the way it is.
