Recommendation? ZT 0707 issue

Hey everyone...so the 0707 was RMA'd to ZT and they promptly gave me a refund. I then ordered another one from BladeHQ and that one at least flips open, although the detent is a little tight...I think it'll break-in just fine after 100 flips or so.
So long story short...there was something definitely the matter with the one ZT originally sent. I have several other flippers and have never encountered anything similar...in fact, I also purchased a Civivi Shredder from BladeHQ and that flips open like a dream ($57 knife).

So all's well that ends well...just wanted to give a quick update and thank you guys again for your input and expertise.

And this is exactly why I have quite buying flipper knives by mail order. I’ve received too many from various companies where they weren’t quite “tuned” properly and cause my flipper finger to get sore from just a few flips from being way too stiff. I only buy flipper knives in person now since I can test the action before I buy.

Good to know and thanks for posting the resolution.

The 0707 I have flips reasonably well, so there must have been some problem with the pivot construction in your original or the lock bar was not adjusted properly. Disappointing that ZT didn't see any problem with it.

It is an ambitious knife and pretty interesting. When properly built it does as advertised...I have to intentionally bear down on the lock bar to stop mine from flipping. But the way they implemented the ability to do that makes the whole action unlike the smooth modern flippers most of us have experience with.
