I had a preorder at Blade HQ and mine is on its way. They currently don't have anymore in stock (probably fulfilling preorders). Spoke to Blade HQ rep and she stated the aluminum handle version (which is currently in stock at other places) is going to be a limited run and the carbon fiber handle version will be released next year.

ZT has to procure a lot of CF and based on what they told us on the KAI forum it takes a while.

Here are pictures from KnifeCenter of the just released 0770 with contoured aluminum handles.

The texture on my aluminum handle 0350GRN and 0350BRN are quite grippy.

The 0770CF (3 ounces) is 0.75 ounces lighter than the 0770 aluminum (3.75 ounces). That's the power of CF for you.

If it has a detent hole so that the speedsafe can be removed that would be amazing I know that the 0566 can be made manual.

Back on the KAI forum they said they were going to make it so, that is, remove the torsion bar to operate it as a manual flipper. I'm going to try it on mine just to see and feel the difference. If it works well manually so much the better - for me.
