ZT 0770 is in stock at Knifecenter!

Has anyone confirmed if the knife will work with the torsion bar removed? Anyone else disappointed that the 770 doesn't have the KVT pivot like the 801?

I can't wait for the CF version...I keep looking at those photos...

I think KAI did in early thread but when mine arrives ill do a YouTube video deassisting it. I actually really like the washers . My 566 is very smooth

Yes, just verified it can be used de assissted. I just did it on my 0770, its no bearing knife, but it does work.

Got my 770Al yesterday morning from BladeHQ. I was surprised at its relatively small size. Almost the same blade length as a spydie PM2, but its overall length is ~1/2" shorter. It just joined my EDC rotation. One feature I didn't like was the slippery Al scale; hopefully the CF version will not be as smooth.

That's a very mod-looking folder. I would think that I'd prefer the feeling of carbon-fiber. I must be one of the very few around here who doesn't have a EDC rotation. I don't really try to defend that idea; it's just the way I am. Although I am recently tempted...

I hear you. I rotate the same knife to a different pair of pants everyday.

Maybe its double stick tape? Kershaw used it in the old Random Task though I never understood the purpose of it, I removed it after it got gooey with age and the knife still functioned perfectly fine.

I've got one on the way, along with a 0801, and probably soon enough a 0566. The one issue I have (without having the knife in hand yet) is I wish they would have used a pocket clip like the one on the 0560. Maybe a little smaller, but I like the shape and sleek design of the clip on the 0560 much better than the "generic" looking clip (from the 1555 and others). Just a personal observation, maybe it has been mentioned before. Still definitely looking forward to these knives!

Very good looking knife. Damn shame that it is assisted from the factory. Not that big of a deal really and can be a bonus. I guess I will just have to try it to see what I think.

I received mine today. I think I am going to like the CF version better. The scales are a bit slick and there is a little ping when you close the knife and the flipper hits the stop pin. I could do with out that. It reminds me a lot of the Knockout. It does seem to have very good ergos for me. It is also light weight, especially for a ZT. I will de-assist mine tomorrow and see how it flips.

I took it back apart and it's just a white sticker, nothing on it.... No idea why

Maybe someone at the factory just wanted to mess with us so he/she stuck a white sticker inside and now they are sitting around laughing at us trying to figure out what it for:p
