So if I jam my fingertip into the gap I can just graze the tip of my blade. However I cant even scratch myself doing this.
Looking at your pics, I think that either your blade is slightly long, or something is off with your scales. Check out the two attachments. To me it looks like your scales are just slightly unaligned. This could be a lighting trick or something like that that is making it look different than it is, but I cant seem to duplicate with my knife.
Try this shot. Set it on its spine, and raise the blade just so the tip is exposed from the frame. Does it line up about where mine does?
