Zt 0770CF

The 0770CF is a regular ZT production knife. It's not discontinued. It has yet to ship. It will be out soon.
 
It was probably to temporarily delist it so that they don't have to deal with a flood of preorders by the time it actually is out.
 
I know this of course. Just antsy and willing to wait as long as needed. Ive been waiting on one for a while and have had one preoreded since the beginning. I don't believe the distributors have any more pull then the consumers.
As Kai said "they will be out when they are ready." I will happily be there when they are.

I would put my money on what the company rep tells me over the store anyday. I've seen many mistakes, typos, and flubbers by stores to have learned my less. My guess is that if anything gets discontinued it would be the Aluminum version (maybe). The CF 0770 is going to be friggin awesome, the Aluminum one has been in my pocket getting some use the last 2 weeks and the blade shape is one of my favorite. The Elmax is right on the money with hardness on this one too. I'd say that if folks are on the fence about the Aluminum one right now, they should pick up at least one or 2 before they are gone (if the get disco'd).

Got mine in my pocket today too. Such a great knife and the carbon fiber one is going to be the sweetness. This knife doesn't get the love it deserves, it's a great all rounder...and I agree with you on the elmax on this one- takes a fine edge, holds it very well and is easy to touch up on my sharpmaker.

Add: since the scare is over..hows about some pics of a great knife as we wait for latest version?!

We need to keep in mind that they have to build a bunch of them before they release them, as they are going all over the world.

If they built only 300 and shipped them out while building more to ship next, then the prices would get so inflated that no one would buy them.

Well, some would, but not in the numbers KAI should expect to realize from a highly-anticipated folder like this. Same with the 0562.

Why did you have to bring up the 0562? Haha I can't wait to see those things in person.
