Haven't really seen much on this knife, besides that it's a smaller ZT, and that it isn't out yet.
Equip2Endure did a YouTube video that briefly displayed the 0780, but it wasn't really looked into or elaborated on.

Is there an ETA for this knife, and does it use the new KVT bearing system?

Pretty sure you're not going to get an ETA out of Thomas given all the stuff the Kershaw/ZT crew has on their plates and the fact that a lot of people ignore the 'E' in 'ETA' and view it as a binding commitment (and then whine when the date slips).

As for KVT, I haven't heard anything about the 0780 using it, so I'd assume the answer is 'no'.

Alas, it was worth a shot, and thanks for letting me know what usually goes on
:)

When I saw the video, all I really got was that it was a manual folder, and it was commented on being very smooth, so I hope that means KVT!
If not, than oh well, not a deal breaker. I'm very interested in this ZT in particular, just because it isn't huge!

I do want a 0350, 0200, and 0560, but they all seem a bit larger than I really need.
After carrying my Cold Steel Spartan for a while, and now just recently switching to the Kershaw Shallot, I'm not sure that large folders are necessary or efficient for what I normally use them for.

I don't think I've asked about this knife yet this year so might as well get in on this thread.

I love ZT’s. They make a really great product for the money.

I already have an Sng and an XM-18 so I don’t really need another model like the hot selling 550/560 series.

I like the 0780 though. This looks like a discreet, deft design. I dare say this could actually be considered a true fighting folder.

I too think the zt knives are larger than what I need.
the skyline seems just right.

Got this email from CS

Hello Yaroslav,

One of our biggest international Zero Tolerance distributors in actually in Kiev. I would contact them to find a dealer local to you for sheaths and knives. We have not started production yet on the 0780. This will begin in March of 2012. I would expect to find it at market early June.

We will hve to wait till summer.

I think I saw jimping added onto the 0780 in its entry in the ZT 2012 catalog. MSRP is now 170 USD. Keeping my fingers crossed on this.

Was this folder at 2012 SHOT?

I haven't seen it in any recent videos at all.

What's the word?

Still going to use S30V? Was rather hoping it would be 154CM like the one I handled at BLADE.

Hey Thomas, any chance Mike could do a vid on this one? Always love his vids, especially with that new camcorder.
