Just in case you didn't notice from the photos that Thomas posted earlier.... the steel on this knife has been changed from 14C28N to S30V. :thumbup: That could be why you also might find a price difference.

Did anyone ever figure out what the serrations on the butt of the knife are for? Traction? Somewhat lethal impact? Allow for the installation of a tractor beam?

i spoke with someone at Knifeworks who told me they had only received 9 0780's and they would be getting more in a week or two ..that was last week

I'm hitting ya up with a e-mail.

Guess not....anyways, talk to the place I'm "getting mine from" I told him that I heard that the knife is being discontinued and was wondering if I was gonna get mine. He told me that they "knife companies" usually make good on the orders that was made, that I should get mine....he told me he was gonna get into contact with ZT and he'll get back with me in a few days...I'll let ya know what I hear.
