Zt 0804 or a benchmade 928 proxy

Owned both, performance wise, they are pretty much the same. As far as flipping, finish work and aesthetics, I much prefer the ZT.

You are right; both seem excellent on paper. If you can handle them first, do so.
I have owned many more ZT's than BM's, but I wouldn't shy away from either model.

If it was an Axis lock, I would say Benchmade, but ZT has made framelock flippers their bread and butter and they have them really dialed in. So 804. It is one sexy looking knife.

Here's my pick with a pic.

ZT for the win. Similar indeed but different execution. The 0804 just does it for me. I like everything about it. Even the pocket clip is cool. The BM seems off. Dont like the blade shape or handle. And the sharpening notch is just weirdly placed.

Agreed the sharpening notch looks like a chip out of the blade

That is the worst execution of a sharpening notch I have seen lol
