I picked up a 909 on the exchange pretty much on a whim about a month ago...
and I've had it in my pocket daily since.
I dont split fire wood or pull nails with my edc but I run a collision repair shop
and use it daily to cut shipping bands, zip ties, seat belts, deployed air bags,
parts boxes etc. and once in a while, just for the hell of it, in the kitchen for something quick.
I'm really liking this knife, it fires open easily, even with heavy winter gloves on, locks up
very tight and the lock shows no indication of any movement, the blade takes a good edge
and is really a very good slicer, especially considering it's size.
It's certainly a little on the heavy side, but I dont notice carrying a couple extra ounces,
and I appreciate the weight when using the knife.
If you have catchers mitt hands (I dont) you might find the handle a little small, but I find it fits me quite well
and when using the knife it feels kind of like a PM2 on steroids.
For me, this knife's a keeper and I expect if you had to get a fire going or get a couple nails pulled you could get it done.

Good review mate, I agree the 909 is a winner, I'm looking forward to the next zt / George collab.

The 0909 is an awesome piece, and is great for all cutting chores, especially those heavy ones. Glad to hear you're enjoying it ☺

yep. one of the better zt models this go around.

when it first came out I wrote it off cause I hated the black g10 scales. Then while brousing on a knife website they offered it with custom blue g10 scales with a grid pattern in it. I got it and it has become my favorite knife.I have 2 talos knives so I was already hooked on the design. its kind of like an upgraded and more refined zt0200 in a way,as far at the liners and solidity go. I have a vacation house down south and I always take it down there with me,i never thought it would be so good.i cannot recommend this knife enough.

I love mine. When it came time to hang up Christmas lights and other holiday activities, I had a small raindrop sebenza in my pocket and clearly was not the right tool for the job. Went to the box and grabbed the 0909 and it was perfect.

It's a great tool. Not designed for office duty, slicing grapes and other small knife tasks, it's there to do work.

its got the strength of the 0200(similar liners) but it carries much better and flips with more authority ....

Nice, goldie!

Love that blue scale on yours.

best

Great little write-up, OP.

I still need to pick one of these up. It's always on my radar but something else always comes up.

Been using mine daily for nearly year now. The 0909 doesn't like steel belted tires or air bag curtains.
