This is one of my favorite production fixed blades. Like the heading says it is Brand New not even a month old except for trying it out after I reprofiled the blade simply because the angle was too steep for the Vanadis 4 extra steel. I carved a small amount and used it to split two 5" sticks just by swinging the blade down on the sticks splitting them into. There are no scratches in the coating except at the back of the blade where my fix angle DMT sharpener left a small spot that I show in the pictures(it's the shiny spot in the last picture and yes it is very small). It comes in its box that is not damaged at all because it is not even a month old. If you're not familiar with Vanadis 4 extra it is a steel with 8% chromium so it could rust but I haven't seen any on the blade even know I left it wet for a few hours. It has 4% vanadium and has better edge retention than Elmax yet is much tougher. Imagine mixing CPM M4 with CPM 3v. It is a very well rounded steele. It comes in a Molly she's with a Kydex type insert so that you don't cut the Molly sheath and the sheath doesn't the form but is loose enough that it doesn't scratch the coating. It is held in by a strap with a snap button. The sheath has two belt loops and an extra pocket in the front for a magazine or extra shells or another knife. It also has a para cord around 8-10' that's wraps through the entire sheath and has a retention button clip around the cord with a strong spring(I don't know the name of that clip) to cinch the bottom of the sheath to your leg so it doesn't bounce around when you run. The HINDERER design comes with a pry bar/skull crusher or extended tang out the back with a lanyard whole that could also be used a hammering device or beer cap opener. The G10 handle has more grip to it than my paramilitary 2 has but not so much that it's uncomfortable. It grips your hand as much as your hand grips it and even if it didn't have a choil and perfectly spaced jumping on too I think your hand would never slip. The handle lends itself to many different holding techniques. You can also take the handle scales off easily to clean it or remove weight or size for a backpack carry. It's blade shape is very versatile to where you could skin, carve, fight, bushcraft, baton, hack, pry and hammer, slice, wedge/split, stab, and even throw it without fear of damaging the blade or scales. As you can tell I will have another one of these blades as soon as I can afford to purchase another. I am open to trades for other fixed blades or pocket knives but I really need the money. I wanted $200 for this knife but I'll take $180 > Now $160 OBRO.
I also have a S125v knife with 3 inch long blade that was reground flat so it doesn't have a makers mark and a little wear in the coating and is a upswept blade by Seth @ Cosmoknives.com where he makes Damascus blades out of CPM stainless steel like s110v and s35vn. It does have the 64 HRC marked on it as well as the s125v by the maker. He made it for me as test blade so I put the carbon fiber handles on it with cooper corby pins and epoxy so it is fastened mechanically and with adhesive. The spine is .13" thick and .026 behind the edge. It is quite tough and cuts forever but my intentions was to have it reground by Big Chris to get it thinner behind the edge. If someone is interested I'll send more info on it I just don't know if since the makers mark is gone if it will sell but I'll put pictures up of it as well and I'm asking $300 for it OBRO. I have a leather sheath from KSF that fits really good and has a spot for fire steel. I will put you in contact with the maker of you are interested to make sure it's all copacetic I also added a sharpening choil to it as well. Someone is going to love this knife when they get it. It's a tank right now but if they don't like it for any reason I will refund their money. My email is Martin 238 at me dot com or PM me on here.
