ZT 2008 Models?

VA has some GREAT laws on autos...it's not illegal to own them, it's illegal to carry them...with or without a CCW...GREAT!

I thought they were legal to carry in Florida anyway?

The Florida laws are a bit on the vague side.

So far it looks like they are OK. The only problem knives would be ballistic knives. If you don't have a CCW, though, you would run the risk of being at the mercy of the LEO's opinion of whether or not the automatic is a concealed weapon or a pocket knife.

yes, I got to handle the two auto's at SHOT, and let me tell you, they are NICE!

I really liked one more than the other but I can's say which one because ZT had just made the prototype for SHOT. He said they might start making them in about 6 months *hopefully* :D

Some of those states are wrong. For instance, in MA you can legally own an automatic as long as it's <1.5" in length. CT you can own, but cannot carry. In NY you can carry if hunting (with lic.).

Nice! I didn't realize that the switchblade ban in FL was recently overturned (in 2003) so they are now both legal to own and to carry. The problem is I still think they are illegal to mail over statelines correct?

Wouldn't that only be true if there were Federal restrictions against them?

Are there? I know the way the laws are currently worded there are federal laws making Balisongs illegal despite being legal in many states. There was that whole fracas with Spyderco having an arse load of Bali parts confiscated by the US Gov.
