My 560 has a round screw pivot pin. I sent Kershaw an email requesting the hex shaped version. Is this common with the 560's?

Pics...you talking about the pivot screw or the pivot piece itself that goes in on the lockbar side?

Pics?

I will guess you are talking about the female side.

I think the newer ones appear to be round. My serial #0903 0560 has the hex.
It doesnt affect performance but I prefer the appearance of the hex.

like these?

wonder when they changed them as even my ZT0551 has it and those haven't been make in some time..

I don't understand the problem - those are both hex shaped, but the corners have been radiused. If the hex head doesn't spin in the hole, nothing is wrong.

Clarifying. I dont have a hex bolt. It is round, not radiused. It looks odd when it sits in a hex hole.

Maybe I'm not tracking this correctly.

If your Lockbar side has a round hole, the hex head fitting won't fit properly. If it has a hex hole, how did it get a round female pin end?

EDIT: I posted right after you. How did it come with a round pin in a hex hole?

I too don't see the problem. They are actually both hex but the newer ones have slightly rounded corners. Heck this is an extra step in the process that costs money and time. I certainly appreciate this.

I think a picture of Mauser's issue would do this thread a lot of good. I'm still somewhat confused as to what the problem is.

I sounds like Mauser ended up with a round headed bolt in a hex shaped hole. Warranty department will get this taken care of. Please let me know if they don't, and I will run it down for you.

Look closely and make SURE it is round before you send it off for warranty. Maybe even loosen the pivot and push it through to be 100% sure.

Other users have previously reported this issue only to find out that they DID indeed have a hex-end bolt. Sometimes the radiused edge on the hex makes it appear to be round unless you look really closely.
