zt 562 that much greater than a paramilitary2

Thickness I definitely notice in my pocket- weight not at all. If I can fit a blade comfortably in that zippo/change side pocket on jeans it leaves the big pocket open for phone, wallet, or keys... I cant do that as securely with any ZT. Again, I have plenty of larger knives that wouldn't come close to fitting in there, but the pm2 gets more carry love because of it.

edit: I've never tried a 0770- that might actually fit in there based on the specs.

Is the m390 that much better than S30v or S35vn? Really don't want something so tough that i can't sharpen it or it will not hold an edge.

The handle, weight, and amazing ffg that the p2 offers is hard to beat. So the zt 562 is suppose to be a better slicer than other zt's. I like the stronger tip. Is it worth the extra money over getting a p2?

It all really depends on what you are going to use it for. They both have great steel, both are solid knives from reputable manufacturers, and both have great warranty's and good customer service. Edge geometry is different on both knives so comparing their performance at the same tasks would get you varied results.

If funds permit, get both and do your own comparison. Sell the one that does not work for you, both will sell very easily. Keep an eye on the exchange the prices are great and the people on this site are great to deal with.

M390 will hold an edge better than either of the other steels you mentioned. It is also not noticeably harder to sharpen (at least that's been my experience)
"Toughness" has a pretty specific meaning around here, so I would suggest picking up a bit more steel knowledge to help you ask your questions more clearly. That makes it easier for us to help YOU:)

I usually have an apple with lunch, and am able to peel the apple finely with my 0562CF. I am left with pieces of skin with very little apple on the inside of the skin. It's a great knife.

Pictures !!!!!

I've found with the "super steels" like M390, maintaining the edge rather is much easier than sharpening a dull edge. For example if I've used my knife hard for a few days I'll buff the edge with 2000 grit sandpaper then strop on leather with no compound. It takes a very small amount of steel off the edge and doesn't take more than a few minutes.

Thank you.
Probably I should e-mail to my favorite pharmacy, asking to put my name on a waiting list. I think I am due for a new knife.

For half of what PM2 costs, I say Endura is a strong contender among all the "slicers" from the two companies.

Not really in the same league: Endura is plastic handle, no bearings, and much lesser steel (assuming VG-10). Compared to Hinderer designed ZT, it looks/feels like a toy.

To me they are very different, the PM2 is hands down a better slicer and better for delicate/precise cutting, but the 562 is better than most other big ZT's. I'm sure it would be harder to break the ZT blade/tip but how many of us have broke either unless we were doing something abusive. The ZT feels a little more solid in the hand, but I think that's more the weight/finger grooves.

The PM2 almost disappears in your pocket, and it has a great handle shape with good grip with full G10, and much better jimping. The Jimping on the 0562 is worthless, even worse than previous ZT's but the finger grooves make it feel very secure in the hand, but the flipper on the ZT makes a very nice choi. It's difficult to open the ZT slowly and controlled if that matters to you, I got tired of coworkers asking to see my switchblade. I'd much prefer some more texture on the Ti slab, a coarse sand blast perhaps. I'm also not a fan of the deep pocket clip, to me I'm not out to conceal my knife, all a deep carry clip does is make it harder to retrieve the knife from my pocket, and makes me re-adjust my grip once it's removed to reach the flipper. Detent on both is great, very secure.

Both are great knives, but very different, I'd be willing to be for 95+% of most peoples everyday use the PM has a better blade shade/thickness. Not that the 0562 won't work, it's just you trade off cutting ability for a thicker stronger blade.
