Zt 777 m390 bohler steel

Loosen the two screws and slide it up. You can see there is a little space between the top screw for the adjustable piece to slide

I don't think you should just "slide it up". If you apply force on the lockbar it would just slide back. Nobody would construct a lock that way. What about the little screw inside the lockbar?

Yes, you loosen those 2 little screws, slide up the bar and tighten them back down. If you open the blade you can see it slotted into the locking bar.

Wow! Finally, got a ZT 0777, a M390 BLK from House of Blades. Thank you HoB for getting these set up. ZT just set a new standard for production knives. They've hit this over the ball park and into the lake, I'm totally floored. Just an awesome knife, love the matte motif and attention to detail. It has a very smooth action. Can't get over how awesome it is. Missed out on the OG ZT 0777, despite multiple pre-orders, but this M390 will more than suffice.

Thank you ZT/KAI for blade substitution and not letting the product fall off despite production difficulties.

After carrying it for the last two days, I've noticed the clip on the pocket clip is extremely tight and difficult to put in my pocket or remove. Has anyone tried loosening the screws on the pocket clip or bending it?

The clip is very tight, took two hands the first couple of days but after carrying it most of the week, it has gotten a little easier. I wouldn't try bending it because the ti is very thick and if you loosen it, it may have play in it. I think it's something that just needs to break in.

I would rather have too much retention than not enough though so as long as I don't have to do it two handed, it doesn't bother me.

Yeah, I've got the same issue with the clip. I think the issue is it's so solid, doesn't really have any give to it. I think the best things to do would be to either take the clip off and file the part that clamps onto your pocket, or put thin shim under the mount of the clip. Could probably just cut a shim out of a soda can. Raising it up that little bit might be just enough.

I carried mine with carhart shorts and it didnt seem too bad getting it clipped and un clipped. Maybe mine does have as much retention? Maybe Im use to stiffer clips. Personally, I wouldnt modify anything on this knife.

Real nice lineup Russ.

So, you're missing one more 0777 and two more 0777-M390. :)

Can somebody confirm that the blade finnish on the 0777 is different than on the M390 version. It looks shiny on the 0777 while the 0777-M390 looks rather dull/ greyish.

They're both stonewashed finish but different steels. In some pictures it's the way the light hits the blade that makes a difference.

From top to bottom: 0777-M390BLK, 0777, 0777-M390:
