Although the 0888 is in a class by itself with a great composite blade and incredible milling on the titanium frame, I'd say that, personally, the CF frame of the 0777 (including 0777-M390 and 0777-M390BLK) is the best frame I've ever seen in any folder. Incredibly light and strong with superb (and expensive) contoured milling.

I think so and that it is one of the best looking knives ever made. There aren't many knives in that shade of what is almost a dark bronze with rust, and it looks so good. For purely usage, I am not sure if the price is justifiable over the already awesome 0801, but for someone wanting a handsome user or collectible, it's hard to beat IMO!


And I agree with the 0888. I've never seen a knife quite like it or a knife that took detail to such an anal level. I can't even really compare it to most other knives I own or have owned.
 
Oh man, i have been trying to get my hands on a Volt 3600 for quite some time. Great collection.

To your original question, I think the 801CF is easily one of the best LEs out there. It is easily better then the 0560CBCF, which i actually consider one of my least favorites = / I still love it, but it has very rough jimping and just not as impressive to me as other LEs (0777,801CF,088,0600).
 
I would say it most definitely is - in fact, the 801CF has elicited more "that is the nicest one yet" comments from my friends - you know, the ones who think I am crazy for buying all these knives....

I love the color of the titanium coating, and the knife has a high level of fit and finish.
