ZT 888 / 888 Max - Lottery winners announced...

^ Yeah I called them last wk. And they said they weren't taking any preorders for the ZT knives. When the knives come in they'll send out emails and first come first served! I was asking about the ZT0600 though. The sales person seemed confused too.

Must be nice. They told me in an email that they wouldn't be taking any pre-orders until they had it up on the site since they didn't know how many they were getting or price. Said once on the site I could put my email address in to be notified when it was available and then it was first come first served when you got the email.
I mentioned this in the 801 post, but I sold my soul to get on the list ;). I begged and pleaded given I am ALWAYS on shift when they post new pre-orders(777 one of MANY), and they said they have a list they could put me on, and I said hell yeah :).

So in other words they lied to me and are showing favorites. Maybe I'll have to reconsider doing business with BHQ in the future. :grumpy:

I dont think so, there were like 40 on the list, guess you just have to ask to be put on the waiting list?

A lot of other folks are working when the offerings are made public but deal with it in a mature adult like manner. The truth is for a couple of days after this thread was started there were forum members finding available pre-orders. Your excuse is just that, an excuse. In life there is no such thing as a n excuse only results.

BHQ didn't do themselves any favors by caving in to your undignified effort to secure one of these knives.

All I did was ask, whats wrong with that? I really didn't beg and plead, I basically just asked if there was some other waiting list or something given I always miss the pre-orders, I should not have exaggerated, that was my bad. Agreed that everyone works, and many in the healthcare field or similar like me where when you are working, you can't stop, or many even harder like those deployed in combat etc. But again, I just asked, and they said they had a waiting list, so I said put me on it. I wasn't the first, I was #9 of 40ish (I didn't ask the exact number), and they have waiting lists for ALL of them, I just didn't know, and if I didn't ask, I wouldn't have, and I am just sharing that info for others. I didn't have to say anything, and perhaps I shouldn't have, I didn't think it was a big deal, I was obviously just excited, which typically is my downfall :/.

I think that the waiting list is for blades for which they don't yet have prices?

P.S. Nice order of KAI banner, still working on mine, fun :D.

As I mentioned before. I emailed asking if there was a pre-order list I could be added to, the day the list came out, and was told they weren't going to do that. Once the knife was on the site you could ask to be notified when it was in stock by email and it was first come, first served. Now explain to me how I wasn't lied to when you are now telling me you, recently even, called and they put you on a pre-order list?

At this point no knives have been promised to any customer.

What we have decided to do is enter all the emails from the "Email Me" list (located on the product listing HERE-->http://www.bladehq.com/item--Zero-Tolerance-0888-Folding-Knife--12692) and randomly draw 20 emails, 10 for the 888 and 10 for the 888 Max. We feel this is the only fair way to handle all the requests for this knife.

So if you are interested in the knife, please add your name to the list by clicking on the "Email Me" button. I hope this clears any confusion.

Just to put it out there, I've been added to lists for these and NO MATTER HOW MANY people signed up OR WHEN they signed up, there will be a random drawing of names from the interested group. So take into consideration that you can still get on a list and you still have just as good a chance as everyone else when the drawing starts. That's not everywhere, but confirm with the vendor and make sure you're not throwing in the towel when you could still have a chance. Good luck to everyone! :)

Jacob.........excellent idea and agreed that it'd be the best way to go. ZT used a drawing to decide the dealers so it's understandable that the dealers use a drawing to decide the buyers. You've renewed my faith in you as a supplier to my addiction. :) I believe I had already put my name in to be notified too.

Jacob is right about what they said, they never promised me anything, I was just on a list. Looks like it doesn't matter, they are doing the right thing. I may have caused that by posting here, so maybe I screwed myself and the others on "the list", but in the end this is the right thing to do. Why not do it on all LE pre-orders? That way everyone gets a chance...
