I have an almost new ZT0609 that had a very hard detent. In the process of lightening it up I ended up messing up the detent ball holder. I ended up getting a larger detent ball and pressing it in to replace the old one. I had to very slightly open the detent hole in the blade. The knife works perfectly now and has a nice detent and flips great. Has a few scratches from working on it, but it was basically new before the work. The blade is still factory sharp edge. Obviously this voids the factory warranty, but it a great knife for less than half price. This would make a great user for someone since it has already been worked on.
The second knife is a DPX Urban from the Kickstarter sale. Sterile blade and I do not remember what they were, but it was a good steel. This one had no detent and it would open in my pocket or from just shaking it. Also, when it was closed the blade would hit the backspacer because of the detent. It was also ground down slightly where the clip rests on the side, because the clip ends right where the cutout is for the lock bar. Not normally a problem except they left hard edges on the cutout so it would get stuck in my pocket from the pocket clip. Unfortunately I worked backwards and took some meat out of the inside of the backspacer and then I managed to get the detent under control. Functions perfectly now, but it was modified to be there. The blade looks perfect, but it was touched up at one time.
