ZT dream knife!

Congratulations, Bad Rattle Bad Rattle - You found a nice one there.

I would estimate that the total production of these was in the low 100s.

I guess I should have typed low hundreds...
We were all lucky to get our mitts on them.

Double post.
Using my phone for posting is like building a ship in a bottle.
My apologies.

I hear you. The slipjoints are comical for a company that’s reputation is “built like a tank”.... I have about 40 also, many of them are different variations of the same model (3 0562s, 3 0566s, 3 0801s, 6 0452s etc., mostly the older models.)
For newer stuff I like the 0357 for the price (and yes I think it is worth the extra $ over the 20cv Link because of the grippy g10.) the 0707 is ok too but more of a weapon/showpiece than a workhorse.
I am looking forward to the 0990 however, and the 0470 has been tempting me lately: Also I regret not getting a 0920 while they were available. So I’m not giving up on the new stuff yet.... and they still have my favorite 0452 in the lineup so I’m hoping they do another sprint run with that one.
Hello I saw you were looking for a 0452CFM390BLU I have one I'm putting on the block if you're interested contact me at arickreederatgmailcom.

I'm hoping to have the clip and lock bar engraved with some panel lines to give it more of a robotic feel

I really hope that you DON'T do that and, if you do, I think you'll regret it UNLESS you plan to keep the knife for LIFE!

The main reason is that the value of the knife will drop significantly. Can't say exactly how much but it would NOT be a 4 digit valued knife anymore IMO.

When you start "customizing" knives (or guns), you risk that the modifications will only appeal to you and no one else and, if you ever want to sell the knife (or gun) you will pay in the wallet for that choice.

So, I strongly recommend that you reconsider this idea. Leave the knife alone and enjoy it for what and how it is.

Thanks for the input. I definitely don’t plan on selling it. I’ve been into cars way longer than I’ve been into knives so I know all about losing value or not getting your return on investment.

It's really not a matter of ROI to me. IMO, it's like defacing a work of art but it's your $, your knife & your choice.
