ZT Elmax

Every time you see someone complain about elmax, just ask them why they haven't sent it back to zt for testing/check out...

Kai has stated in several threads that they have yet to see an elmax blade come back with someone complaining about edge holding or 'burnt edges'.

For someone who has been very outspoken against our ZT brand, I appreciate you taking the time here in this thread to ask questions and add commentary.

Burnt edges seem to be a very random event that has happened (apparently in some cases), that seems has caught some attention here on the forums. As with many topics like these, it's been tried to be made more than it is.

Really a non-issue in our eyes.

This is a quote from KAI Corp.

Notice the second paragraph where KAI admits there was a very random problem with burnt edges that evidently has been dealt with and is no longer an issue.

If it is within your means, I would suggest buying an Elmax blade and discovering for yourself if it meets your expectations.

Too bad that a Youtube metallurgist can damage the reputation of a company/knife without any rigorous scientific testing - replicated by unbiased people - to back it up.

I think KAI will be fine. It sure hasn't stopped me from buying a few more ZT's with Elmax!

ZT had some issues with Elmax, as did a few other manufacturers. It seems that issue has been resolved. And Jdavis is the debil.
