ZT Hinderer

I sold my 0561 and recently got a blue-black G10 Hinderer scale for my ZT 0550....soooo much better than the stock G10 scale.

I did some work on the edge with my Wicked Edge - it's scary sharp now. Now that it's broken in, amazingly sharp, and has an attractive scale, I'm carrying it quite often.

can't wait for Rick to make some more so i can get a Hinderer texture one for my 0551 too. i am anxiously looking forward to him releasing the 056X scales as well!

Its weird that every place that sells scales are always out of orange ones.... are you hogging them all SO? don't make me cross the NC/SC border haha

nope, that's the only one i've got... and i actually bought the 0550 with that scale already on it. i have never seen them in stock anywhere in either the frag or Hinderer texture. :confused:
 
How well does this knife cut? Every review I read so far says this knife does not have a great slicing profile. I like a knife that can really work well as a knife. I do not need a sharpened prybar.
 
Both the 056x and the 055x cut very well. They are stout knives but are certainly not sharpened prybars.

By the way I finally broke down and just decided to keep and carry the 0560. Still like my 0551 a little better but it really is a nice knife.

The 550 cuts like a dream. IMO, the slicing profile is fine.
