Big Mike

Thats a sweet ass lookin' tool ;) Thanks for the info!

I gave my opinion a while back in this thread. I prefer Benchmade, but I think it's silly to say that ZT's CS is inferior. I've only heard great things about their service, including sending out parts that Benchmade won't.

I've had some pretty good service from Benchmade that blew my mind though. I had a tech email me right after I posted about some mods that I wanted to do to my Contego. He asked me to send in my knife. They did the mods for me free of charge. That tech/designer and I emailed back and forth about steel and design for some time. They really have some knife nuts over there that want nothing more than for you to get the most for your money.

I'm not sure if KAI does this, but Benchmade will replace your blade (doesn't matter if it's 154cm or m390 or m4 or whatever, so long as it's still in production, or they have extras) for $25 uncoated, a little more for a coated blade. Couple that with the rest of their warranty and there's no reason why you can't expect your knife to last a lifetime. ;)

Yes sir, Kershaw offers to replace your blade if you wish to do so $10 for Kershaw blades, and $30 for ZT blades. If its broke from a manufacturers defect obviously its free.

Love both knife companies. Its all depends on what you are using it for. In my opinion Zt's are heavy for EDC use.

If you want a pretty knife buy zt, if you plan on using it properly, buy a benchmade. Zt frame locks need to be revised.
