funny, I was just heading over here to ask one more about the frame lock. anyone know what kind of stainless i is?

thanks for correcting my terminology celtic. is there a term for that thumbstud frame contact business?

I had to think about it for a minute, but "external stop pin" was what came to mind.

I had to think about it for a minute, but "external stop pin" was what came to mind.

I though external stop pin would be a stop pin that you can see looking at the top/back of the knife, whereas an internal stop pin is hidden in the tang of the blade. Now I'm confused too.

External stop pin means outside the blade: studs on the blade, a stop pin you can see.

Internal stop pin is a stop pin cut inside the blade like the Domino or Southard.
