ZT serial numbers

How does Kershaw/ZT compute the serial numbers. I just received a 0400 serial #3430,seems awfully low.Am I missing something

They don't make too many 0400s. I'm surprised there is even 3,000 of them honestly.

There's not a whole lot of computing to it. We simply count up with each knife that comes through production. Yours was the 3,430th through the laser machine. Chevy is right that we didn't make too many 0400's and they are now discontinued.
