ZT/Strider bayonet... EDC for one month

I just got this knife 5 days ago. I made it my goal to EDC the knife for a month straight. So far, all is good. No crazy looks, no cops, pretty much normal.

Hey, more power to ya' man.

Just stood at a busy intersection for 3 hours waving this sign. Nobody said anything about the knife, no cops came.

I'm shocked that cops haven't given you any trouble for that, especially in Fresno.

Up here in the north state, I've carried large (7"-9") fixed blades before, and no one has ever said anything about it. Up here, maybe 1 out of 500 people have a small/medium fixed blade on them. I've seen people walking around with full-size machetes on their waists where I live; no one cares and no one says anything about it. They might catch some weird looks for it, but no one freaks out about it.

Beautiful! Love it. It might be better if you were handing out flyers with your knife rights on it.
Man... I just got an idea...

I'll be out there next Sunday. Better than going to church.

Well done Charlie Mike. I applaud your efforts to challenge the misconception that if a person openly carries a fixed-blade where it is legal to do so that they will find themselves surrounded by cops or in jail.

I've openly carried a fixed-blade down here in urban San Diego for several years, sometimes in the same manner as you have pictured, and in plain view of several cops, and none of them have said a negative word about it (and this is despite my less-than clean-cut appearance). The only time a cop ever said anything to me was when he saw that the bottom of my jacket had accidentally covered the knife and he gave me a friendly warning that at the moment it was technically "conceald", which is illegal. After adjusting my jacket and re-exposing the knife, I was on my way. The cop never even asked my name or to see my ID.

I guess a Japanese Samurai sword would be the next thing, but I just don't know why. How do you cut a steak at Outback with that thing?

 More people should be EDCing belt knives.

I am sure you know how to deal with cops, they can't stop or search you if you aren't breaking any laws, and most sheeple are so clueless they won't even notice.

You can be stopped and searched if the cops have "probable cause," whether you actually were breaking a law or not. Further, this knife is in plain sight.

Actually all they need is "reasonable suspicion". If "PC" is developed during this interaction then an arrest or warrant application will take place, but as long as your're not doing anything wrong like CM here you should have no problems.
