Well I think the main purpose of the DLC coating is rust prevention and low vis, so I don't think it matters, members have already said It doesn't effect the knife's rust proofness (epic win just made up word:D)

Just noticed this one. Yes (as already mentioned) bead blasted DLC but with the magical talent of seven nifty little elves...

You will really appreciate this finish and it's tough durability.
 
Well, if the finish is durable and doesn't effect it's longevity, then I'll bite on one of these sometime. ZT wouldn't do it if it didn't work.
