ZT to replace an 0560?

For those of you that have suggested the 562, thank you. So far I believe its between the 562cf and 920. The slicer blade of the 562 has me questioning if it would hold up to what I sometimes dish out as compared to the 560 blade though.

I had an 0562 and sold it. Same quality and build, a slightly thinner handle than a standard xm18 or 0560. Deep carry clip was flimsy to me and I actually had to ask zt for multiple back ups which they sent free of charge. Fantastic knife. Have you looked at the 0220?

The 0220 looks good too but all of the suggestions are more smooth than the 560 except the 920. The textured Ti of the 560 feels better than the smooth Ti of the 550 i had. Tough choices here guys because the ones pointed out are nice. I had considered the 452cf but im concerned the handle is too thin for me.

I like the 0562 and 0220, but the 0560 has more handle real estate.

Thanks Twindog for the comparisson shot. Very helpful but now im unsure if i would enjoy the smaller grip of either of those seeing them beside that beautiful 560.

The 0560 also had a slicer grind blade so I wouldn't worry too much about it being different. The grind on the 0562 is extremely robust. If you ask me the 0562 is basically a more refined version of the 0560. Not that the 0560 isn't nice but it is like comparing the 2001 model of a car with the 2012 model.

0095 is definitely worth checking out.

That's an awesome knife, and there's the new 0095 in S90V. But the handle is almost exactly the same size as the 0562. I think the OP will need a 4-inch blade to get the handle size he wants in a ZT.

All fantastic knives. The medallion in the handle ruined the 0220 for me.

Loved my 0560 though

I didn't even notice that mine doesn't have the medallion. I was like, "What medallion is he talking about?"

If you think the 0562CF is not robust enough, definitely take a hard look at the 801...that chunk of Ti is burly, but it's a very refined knife.

I still the the 0562CF is your best option, cause it really is a more refined 0560 in many ways.

Im guessing the 562 and 220 have similar handle size to the Spydie Tenacious? Its the closest to that size I have. Not a bad size but the 560 size is more ideal for heavy use to me.

Yes ZT 0909 if you need a big beefy and hard use ZT folder. 0562 is noticeably smaller. 0095 while a great slicer does not seem to be as beefy abd hard use. 0620 and 0630 are not flipper and are also shorter. Another option is the new 0920, big knife with beautiful 3D machined ti scale.

Gotta third the 0909. Absolutely loving mine with (thick!) Sketchen scales.

Not that I'm not lusting after the 0920. Must have!

I think that is you look for bigger knives the 0909 and 0920 that have been proposed are much better option that the 0562
Even if actually the 0562 is a very refined knife

The 909 sounds like what you are looking for. It is large and beefy, and because it is a liner lock, it has G10 on both sides of the handle for a positive grip, not to mention Les George designs lend themselves very well to an excellent, ergonomic grip. I don't like liner locks much, but the liner of the 909 seems very sturdy and robust, so I wouldn't be concerned with that.

So many good recommendations here guys. Maybe I can swing picking TWO since its been a long while between knife purchases. 562cf, 920 and 909 seem to be the main three choices thus far. Thanks for all the input so far.

Compared to the two others the 0562 will feel/be smaller
My pick will be the 0909
I have a 0563 but I would have expect it to be a better slicer but i am not enjoying much the way the blade is grind
Of my ZTs it is the one that impress me the less as a cutting tool for EDC

It has the robust hinderer thing to it which is a bit surprising for a more refined and more compact design
