Zt

I wouldn't exactly call it a secret list,......the voting pretty much determined who got one.

.......maybe you'll just have to tell Santa you've been nice,....

...........'cause maybe he's been told otherwise! :D

man joe....how do i get on that secret list of people getting a zt!...lol....i am really thinking about getting one after all these threads......i don't even need any folders.......ryan

i might have to wait till they come out with your baby version.....that tyrade pass-around was big enough.....if i get stopped with a zt in my pocket i might get a whack to the head with a nightstick from the local law enforcement.......ryan

I participated in a ZT 0200 passaround last year, and my experiences were posted on that thread:

WOW! My first thought, was Man this is a big knife! About the size of the Kershaw Offset. My second thought was that this knife reminds me of a Spec Bump on Steroids. You'll see what I mean when you see the pics.

I'm no Vasilli, but here are the pics. I've included a Spec Bump and Leek for scale:

First Impressions:
Very Cool knife! I had it opened before the USPS carrier got back in her jeep! Can't wait to test it out!

Ergonomics/Comfort:
One of the most comfortable knives I have ever held! This knife doesn't want to be put down. Don't be fooled by the pics, this knife is much larger than the Spec Bump. Not necessarily in overall length, but in thickness of materials. The size difference is more apparent in the pic of the two knives closed. I have the 0200 in my right jeans pocket right now and it doesnt feel bulky, but I know it's there. I bet I can carry it all day without fatigue, though I DO weigh 250 lbs. This is not a knife for small people...

Deployment:
This knife opens as fast as any AO knife. An owner of this knife will not miss the SpeedSafe. I found that the thumbstuds actually open the knife faster for me that the flipper, and puts my hand in a more secure position faster. I will experiment with drawing this knife from my pocket and see which method is faster (thumbstuds vs. flipper).

Edge/Materials
From what I can see so far, nothing has been sacrificed with this knife. The blade is strong and sharp, with no blade play at all. In fact, this liner lock is stronger than most frame locks. Just outstanding fit & finish so far! Built like a tank, without seeming cumbersome. The G-10 is very grippy, but comfortable, just like my favorite Spec Bump.

Jeremy,....is this the review of your passaround knife,....or did YOURS arrive today?

Yeah,....i kinda thought so as my tracking number didn't show delivery yet,.....

......but the post office is slow to log those things in sometimes.

I suspect the others will get them by thursday,.....except maybe the one to Daywalker in Hawaii,.....that may be a day or so later.

ok so esav and myself have the ZTs now. just waiting on jeremy, shooter, and chad.

Who, me:confused:
Sure, send a ZT 0200 my way:D

It’ll be some time before I have the money to go out and buy myself a ZT; until then I’ll just sit here and dream as I stare at all the pretty pictures:cool:

-sh00ter

Good question?,.....maybe it's a bit early to hear back from them. My tracking does show Jeremy's (nygiantsfan) as having been delivered today,......but no name mentioned as who signed for it. Maybe a friend is taking it for a spin,.....or Jeremy is still checking her out! :)

Kershawguy's tracking only shows that the knife arrived at the Eugene, Oregon "unit" at 4:37AM this morning,.....i'm assuming it should be delivered today but not showing delivery yet on the USPS site.

The one going to Hawaii to Daywalker only shows in tracking as having been accepted by the post office dec. 9th.

Anyway,......hopefully we'll be hearing from at least 2 members tonight,......if they don't cut their typing fingers too badly! :D

FREEDOM!!!! I AM OUT OF SCHOOL!!!!! time to celebrate with the Kershaw gang!

anyone else recieve the ZTs yet?

Got home today and I bet you can guess what was waiting for me. That's right a ZT0200 baby !! I haven't put it down, wife hasn't even tried to figure out why I would take a knife in the shower (never know when you might get attacked in there). All joking aside it is an extremely nice knife , well designed, built like a tank and comfortable in the hand. Thanks Joe and all who voted for me, for this wonderful addition to my Kershaw collection. It's a Keeper !!! Did you get the trooper Joe ?

Dave

No,....not yet,.....the Trooper is still in transport! I'll let everyone know when it arrives..............

Now watch those digits,......these things can bite!

Oh,....for the record, and so Dann doesn't go balistic,.......you got the full size ZT 0200 and not the "Baby" one. So far that's an only child! :D

Joe,

You ARE going to really like that Trooper...It's quite a knife! That was really great of Dave to send it to you as a gift...

(And strangely enough, I haven't yet cut myself with either one of my ZT 0200 folders...Knock on wood...).

And, no, I won't go balistic...My meds have been adjusted.:D.:D.

I've been in Houston on business all week, but when I got home tonight, I had several surprises!

Some new Blu-Ray movies and a ZT 0200!!! Thanks so much Joe!!! I forgot how good it feels in the hand.

Dave

well we are just waiting on Chad then. Sweet!

btw folks, i ment to mention this yesterday. I compared the size of the ZT to the Offset. The Offset is just a lil (and i mean lil) bit bigger. Wait till you guys see the pics. Though they wont be the best pics, they will be interesting (look up my Offset thread and you'll get the drift :D).

The Offset has ALOT more blade than the ZT (gotta love the recurve. The Offset just has alot more recurve!).

We all kinda knew how much you liked it before,........your ZT 0200 review shows you clenching it with a vise-like GRIP in several pics,.....

.............we all just knew you didn't want to let it go!

.......and now you won't have to.

".........and then there was ONE!" (Daywalker).
(remember that Seinfeld episode? :D)
