ZT0200 close retention?

All of Kershaw's black-colored pocket clips are parkerized.

I never noticed that, but come to think of it, I don't know of a single painted clip they make. Kudos to them for giving the customer a better finished clip than most companies are willing to.

lol late reply but anyway

i just got a ZT200 st and the retention on mine is less than satisfactory
dont get me wrong - i love the knife, but for a blade that heavy may be it needs two stoppers ?

by the looks of it tho most are ok so if you like the design and dont mind the weight get it.
the strength and feel of the knife are superb.

out of all of the pocket clips on all the knives i have, the best pocket clip is on the Brian Tighe Nirk Tighe but thats solid Titanium. Besides that, the ZT clips are the best. I've begun bead blasting the clips on my BM's because they quite frankly suck for the money you pay. ZT is a fantastic subsidiary of Kershaw. I have the 200, 301, 550, and 610, and they are honestly the best knives for the money. Beefy as hell, and strongest folders out of all of my folders.

My first post at BF and I can't think of a better knife for it to be about. I got one of these a few months back and it has been an awesome knife for me. The closed retention is very good as far as I'm concerned. I really like mine and have been carrying it since I got it!

The blade retention on mine is perfect. It has a lot of resistance, too much for most folders, but the excellent flipper works really well with it. Probably too much if you were to go strictly thumbstud though.

Mine is pretty strong - and I've had mine for a while.

There really isn't anything I don't like about the knife, except I wish I had another one.:D
