ZT0350 Issue

Hey everyone, I have a problem with my ZT0350. It has zero blade play until I Grip the Knife. When I Grip it my index finger ever so slightly unlocks the liner lock giving it back and forth play. Do your 0350s do this too? Is the liner lock too easily moved and can be sent for warranty? Thanks all!
 
This definitely sounds like a warranty issue. Not typical of any of them that I have owned!
 
I have had a few knives with a similar issue. What you could do is take the 350 apart and bend the lock bar a little to add a hair more pressure so it won't be as easily disengaged. If you are uncomfortable with that you could look up video tutorials on YouTube, or multiple people here would likely be willing to help, either by making a tutorial or by doing the work if the knife is sent to them.
 
ZT customer service is awesome. They will make it right. Email them or better yet give them a call on Monday.
 
Yeah, I wouldn't go the DIY route on this one, warranty is the way to go. Hopefully they accept it though, that issue doesn't seem too critical.
 
If you send it in, Kershaw will most likely just bend the lock bar a little because the issue sounds to be a slight lack of lock pressure.
 
I've had similar experience with other knives too. I think my index was opening the lock a tad. adjusted my grip and no problems since. sure way to find out is put the point in a solid piece of wood, and grip without touching the lock. move up-down. obviously if you're not touching the bar and it still moves, you have an issue. also, is it just making contact? maybe not being set far enough over. good luck and best regards to all.
